Main purpose of the role:

To support the Head of Finance in the delivery of financial and management information, monitoring performance and managing the finance team. The role will report directly to the Head of Finance as well as communicating with Business Unit lead partners and finance leads within the professional teams.

Liaising with client facing teams to drive the firm’s overall growth and strategy, you will provide information and commercial challenge on the business plans developed by the groups, commenting on the use of resources and impact of strategies to deliver improvements to productivity and profitable growth.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders. This role will also include the evaluation and development of the supporting Finance service delivery team, as well as performance monitoring to meet internal reporting objectives and ensure statutory responsibilities are met fully in advance of deadlines.

Essential Skills and Experience 

Proven track record of managing a finance team.

Strong accounting skills and ability to interpret financial data and trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels.

Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.

Experience of developing systems.

Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities.
